Reflection #2

1) How many hunting regions are in Arizona?
2) How many units are in hunting region V?
3) What is the biggest unit in region V, by square mileage?
4) What regions contain Coues deer?
5) What regions contain Javelina?


1) In Arizona, there are in total 6 regions. Region I is Pinetop, Region II is Flagstaff, Region III is Kingman, Region IV is Yuma, Region V is Tucson, and Region VI is Mesa.
2) In region V, there are 17 units. These include 28,29, 30A, 30B, 31, 32, 33, 34A, 34B, 35A, 35B, 36A, 36B, 36C, 37A, 37B, 38M.
3) The biggest unit in region V is unit 28, at 2400 square miles.
4) A few of the units that contain coues deer are 28, 33, 34A, 34B, and many others.
5) Some of the units that hold Javelina are 28, 36A, 36B, and 36C, as well as other units in the region.

Reflection of today's research:
       
This week, I had a few very important questions that were crucial to my research. Everywhere from hunting regions to animals in the units. I learned more about the regions acorss Arizona, all the way up to Northern Grand Canyon and down to Bisbee. The things that inspired me this week are upcoming hunting trips. I have been more excited to review over the hunting units and gain more knowledge about them. During my research, I mainly studied the units in region V that I have not recently visited. I learned about what animals live in the area, average temperature, and varying other facts.

Plans for next week are to start laying out the design of my brochure, picking out pictures as well as the units I will plan to showcase in my brochure. I need to make sure that all the plans for my product and research are complete and finalized. This will ensure that my product and project is close to perfect, and make sure I receive a great grade.

Reflection Post

           Throughout southern Arizona and across the United States, hunting is a very popular sport and can make many people excited. In the United States alone, over 14.5 billion people have a hunting license. In southern Arizona, there are 5 regions to hunt, and each region has its own specific units inside of the region. The southern most region in Arizona is region V, and contains units 28-38M. To find good and valuable information, I will have a talk with Duwane Adams. He is a license guide in southern Arizona, and has wrote many books about hunting in this specific region.

          For my final product, I will be making a brochure about the three best hunting locations in Southern Arizona. Specifically, Region V and units 33-38M. In my brochure, I will showcase a few pictures of each of the units I choose to show. Each unit will have a short written summary about the area and why I chose to count it in the top 3 units on my list. For this week, I had one main question, what units should i choose to showcase in my brochure.  To inspire me for my project, I keep telling myself that English is a great class and I need to receive an A in the class. Also, I love hunting and any chance that I get to go out and explore the mountains, I will take in a heartbeat. By the end of next week, I will have chosen the units I will explore and showcase in my brochure. What unit should be chosen as number 1? That should be answered in my brochure!

MLA and Elevator Pitch

1) What does MLA stand for?
2) Is the MLA format used across the world?
3) Are there other types of formats for writing, other than MLA?

1) Is an elevator pitch always suppose to be 60 seconds, or can it be longer or shorter?
2) What is the most important thing when making an elevator pitch video?
3) Can an elevator pitch be a video of something other than yourself?

MLA stands for Modern Language Association.
MLA can be used across the world, and is used in many areas.
There are other formats for writing other than MLA, like the APA format.

The elevator pitch can be shorter, but must get your point across.
The most important idea of an elevator pitch is to be unique and get your point across to the other person.
An elevator pitch just has to show your goal, whether is shows yourself or not.
